RP:]] St Luke's Reform School For Young Gentlemen

"Yeah, I'm good," I say as I walk into the lounge behind Brian.

"It's just, y'know since the last time me and my Dad's yelled at me over the phone for... you know, the SG site? Well, I haven't seen them since then, so, I'm a little nervous about today," I admit to Brian.

"So, have they said anything about me at all?" I ask him hopefully, hoping that my Dad's are over it somewhat, and they have excepted that at least I am earning my own money while being at college unlike Chris who's still relying on Daddy.

"Well..."

They're still pissed off that you'd exploit yourself like that and have on some drunken nights pretty much hinted at prostitution.

"They've pretty much stayed quiet on the whole thing." I lie, "But they're obviously thinking about you. I mean, they wouldn't just disown you because you're a model these days, surely."

Well, not in so many words anyway.

"They hate me doing it, don't they?" I ask him already knowing the answer.

I sigh and sit down on the couch, my hand moving over my forehead, as I shake my head.

"Look, I only did it because, it was the only way I could make some money without actually becoming a hooker. I mean, they know that I wouldn't do it unless I knew it was perfectly safe and was sensible about it."

I look up at Brian, "do you guys hate me doing it?"

I take a deep breath, trying to think of how to answer this question. I don't really approve of her being a sexy model but she's my neice, I'm not supposed to approve of anything relating to sex and her.

"I don't hate you doing it, neither does Coby. If it's what you want and you're safe, it's your life, you're a grown women now, Court. We just... wish there was something else you could do. Like a part time job in a restaurant or something. Some of these places pay pretty well these days, y'know?" I offer, already knowing what the answer is, "I mean, what's it going to do when you're trying to get work after college, how's it going to look to potential employers?"

I'm pretty sure this isn't what she needs to hear right now. I roll my eyes at my own idiocy and sit down by her on the couch, an arm round her shoulders, "You do whatever you want, okay? Don't let anyone tell you what to do."

I laugh, "not one for confrontation today then Brian?" I say before letting out a sigh and looking down to my bump.

"And I have tried looking for a job, but... everywhere around North Burela Uni is either a prep or a jock, they have all the jobs because they are so gorgeous and normal looking. This was the only one that I could do and still be me. I'm not one to sell my soul, and you know it."

"That's the beauty of it Brian, it's not like an actual job. It's like ebay, you sell something to a price and someone buys it, no stings attached. It's like a myspace account, no one needs to know you have it unless you want them too."

I look at him and he looks less than impressed, "I have thought about this. I went through it, I asked one of my friends who's already on the site for help and what happens. It's not going to ruin my future and... if anything, it'll make my future better. I mean, if it hadn't have being for SG, I would have never have met Aaron."

"Yeah but it's still like you're selling yourself. I just don't want to see you being exploited. You never know what could happen to those pictures, Court." I point out.

But I guess she makes a fair point, there's not much work she could do around here and still retain her identity. She's such an unusual young girl, I wouldn't want to see her compromising that just to get work.

"But as long as you're being safe and as long as that guy doesn't screw you over, I suppose it can't be that bad, can it?"

"That is true, but SG do have an agreement that is they find someone misusing the pictures, they can sue them for all they are worth. I'm safe, I promise."

"So, I've got your support then?" I ask him and he smiles at me, "Thanks Brian."

I lean over and hug him. We have really grown closer together over the past couple of years. Before it was Chris who trusted Brian with his life, now it seems to be me.

"And I can look after myself Brian, y'know what I am like. And Aaron's great. He's the father of my child, and he didn't run a mile, faint or cry when I told him I was pregnant. That in my books tells me a man is worth keeping around."

"He seems like a good guy." I agree, "I mean, he looks at you with the same kind of puppy dog eyes that I look at Coby with. That's true love right there. Or glaucoma."

I smile, "One of the two."

I rest my hand on her belly, "And this one's going to be a looker, what with you two for parents. Although I can't help but worry they'll have to use a magent to get him out."

"Yeah, he does, doesn't he?" I say as a grin graces my face.

I really do love Aaron, we have only being together for 6 months now, and we did meet in probably one of the most seedy ways that you can meet someone, but it doesn't matter to me because he didn't just love me for my green hair, piercings and my boobs on the screen. He fell in love with me after a phone call with me about how much I hated certain vegetables.

"They better not do, that'll be even more painful for me," I say with a small embarrassed laugh, "yeah, I got a hood ordament just before I met Aaron."

I smile sheepishly at him, hoping that he gets the point so I don't have to explain to my uncle that I got my clit pierced.

I just stare at her in shock. There are some things you never want to hear your young neice say. That is probably right at the top of the list.

"Oh my..."

I pull my hand away from her stomach, "I feel all soiled and dirty now."

Add that to the fact I still have a vivid imagination and I'm at the point where I really want to go and stare at Coby naked to scare the demons away.

"Well, that's lovely for you two. I'm sure."

"Hey, you have said plenty of things to me in the past to freak me out, I am just returning the favour," I grin at him and wink before standing up from the sofa and smoothing down my clothes.

"So, are we cool?" I ask Brian, holding my hand out to him to help him up from the sofa, and to shake his hand too, hoping that if anything was to happen between me and my parents today, that he would stand up for me.

"Like a polar bear in a freezer?" I offer, forgoing the handshake and just hugging her carefully instead.

"I don't know, I'm getting older, my jokes are turning into Dad jokes. It's not a good time for me, you know."

Of course my mind is changed as soon as I see my new little princess wandering in to the room, still looking a little wary of Courtney.

"Well, not verbally anyway." I say, vaguely aware of myself beaming at Zoe. She's going to develop such a phobia of teeth.

"No, of course not Brian," I say, rolling my eyes and patting him on the shoulder as I go to walk out of the living room and into the kitchen to find Aaron and Jacoby, both wearing aprons, cooking.

I grin to myself, and walk over to Aaron and Jacoby.

"Is there anything you ladies need help with?" I joke before the both turn to me and give me matching glares that must have being rehearsed, they are scarily a like.

I wait in the car as Matt goes to fetch Chris from his dormitory. It's being a while since I have being in a college myself, but what with Chris not driving, well, not having a car, it seems like we are the students as well, we are here so much.

I am still nervous about seeing Courtney for the first time in a few months. She's probably grown so much with her baby bump, and I have really wanted to see her, but I have being unsure of how to talk to her, I'm so worried about her as it is.

I look down the length of the long road in front of me to see Matt walking down the street with Chris standing next to him, and I can't help but smile at how much Chris has grown. I remember when he was the height of my knee and clinging onto my leg so he didn't fall.

"You had better behave today, Chris. Couldn't you have worn something a little less... aggressive? She's an abused kid, she's not exactly going to be wild about a shirt with a damn sycthe on it."

I look over him, just nitpicking because I can and because I don't want to get banned from the Shaddix-Haner household.

"And all the cuffs! You look like you're going to kill someone." I say, trying to make a grab for them, "And I dread to think what's in that bag. You better not be trying to frighten her, Chris."

He waves off all my fussing and just climbs into the car, la-ing loudly to the tune of one of the most offensive songs I've ever heard. Something I'm sure he's doing on purpose.

I get into the car as well, trying not to threaten him with the cigarette lighter again.

"Alright Chris?" I ask him but I don't get an answer out of him as he gets into the back of the car with a yawn.

I just sigh and turn the ignition back on again. When did he turn into such a teenager? I dread to think what sort of friends he has made at this college.

I look over at Matt and he looks like he's going to kill Chris.

I smile weakly at him, "hey. Calm down, OK?" I smile and lower my voice, "I'm sure Courtney's not as bad."

I can't help but snort at that, Courtney's not as bad as me? She's worse. She's all... rings and bright colours and... terrifying basically. At least I'm just a typical surly metalhead with actual prospects in my life.

"So what are they celebrating this time? It's like they have a fuckin' party every few weeks." I ask, not really interested, just trying to steer the conversation away from me.

"Dude, Chris, we told you, they've adopted a little girl that Brian's being battling for and to have her parents locked up for... years now," I say, not even completely sure myself, Matt knows more about this than I do.

I pull out from the side of the street and start my way down towards Brian and Jacoby's house.

"So, hows things?" I ask Chris, not even sure whether I should have asked that or not now.

"Well they've been better. I mean, my girlfriend turned out to be a dyke but I'm used to that since Becky." I explain, counting off everything that's gone wrong on my fingers, "Then there was the fact I nearly failed my classes because my teacher hates my brutal stance on the world, then the fact I got alcohol poisoning at a frat party, then my guitar got stolen, I got busted for possession of weed which wasn't mine and my hair's thinning already. Thanks Dad M for that gene."

I look back to the front of the car with a grin, "So they've been super!"

I don't say anything to that. I just nod and look over at Matt for some help here. I never was good when it came to my kids being shitty, horomonal teenagers.

"Right," I say, "so this girl, was that Donna? Because she seemed nice."

I say this, and then I realise, how much like a freaking Mom I sound. I should just change the conversation now, but to what?

"Spoken to your sister lately?"

"Oh she was nice enough. She was just nicer to anything with a great rack." I explain, "Too into fish for my liking, y'know?"

I lean back in the seat, "I've not spoken to her directly. My friends have been talking to her more than me. Well, I say talking, more..."

I make a crude gesture with my hand.

I just stay quiet now, because I know that Matt is just going to blow his top at Chris any minute now, and I'm not going to help matters if I keep asking so many questions, so I just keep on driving.

"Right," is all I say as I sigh and read the signs on the road.

We've still got ages 'til we get back into the suburbs of New York. Joy.

I hate being such an ass towards them all but I can't help it right now. I'm pissed off, I'm hungover and I'm failing my classes. I'm not really in a bright, cheery mood.

I lean back against the seat and just stare out of the window, wishing I could at least cheer up a little. Does this new kid really need to see a surly, whiny metalhead turning up?

"So what's she like, their new kid?"

I smile a little to myself, knowing that the silent treatment he is getting from me and Matt is working somewhat. He's taking a little bit of interest now.

"Aw, she's really sweet Chris, well, from what Brian and Coby have told us about her she is, we haven't seen her yet. Apparently she's really upbeat and optimitic after everything she's being through too."

"Well that's good." I say, not really having anything else to say to all of that.

I just sit back, hoping the ride will pass quickly. Maybe this little girl can help cheer me up a bit. I love kids, even though they tend to be a little scared of me. I hope I don't freak her out. I don't want my Uncle's to throw me out again.
